One Fine Baby

Today Liv and I along with a friend and her bub headed down to the One Fine Baby fair in Melboune. I was pleasantly surprised.

i expected madness. Crazy mums everywhere fighting to get a peak at the stallholder goods, toes ran over by prams and massively inflated overpriced goods. What I found was a calm peaceful market with super friendly business owners who were all happy to say hi and have a chat rather than pushing for a sale. I had a great day, as did Liv. The only one thing i would say they need is more variety on the catering side. Liv was happy with popcorn, lollipops and fairy floss however!

If you are into handmade clothing/interiors/toys then i suggest going to the next one for sure.

Personal…

So how personal should a blog be? I have so much to share and probably overshare but those that are my friends / family will critisize my decisions to share everything. How do i find a happy medium?

Should i just have the attitude its my blog i will do what i want? I had that with my instagram but still hear negative comments. Why is it so hard to get support from people you know but strangers can give you the most encouragement and support? Hmmm…Personal opinions always get in the way.

School Mum

I am soon to be a school mum. Everyone keeps telling me that everything changes when you become a school mum. I am nervous. Its a whole new ball game.

Liv so far has had one transition day and one day of pre prep testing. Transition day she waltzed on in turned and looked at me, casually waved and off she went. I was left a sobbing nervous mess as was Tyler. Together we sooked and counted the minutes for Liv to return. Testing day went somewhat the same. Teacher comes out afterwards and proclaims “she’s well and truly ready for school’. I was delighted to hear this naturally, especially given that fact her age is lower than most other preps. Now to saviour every minute I have with her until January arrives and I really become a wreck.
